Philmont Scout Reservation
July of 2011 we had 24 Scouts and Scouters from Troop 42 attend Philmont Scout Reservation. Those that have been to Philmont will tell you that it's one of the best experiences of their lives. We will be taking another group in 2014. If you will be fourteen or older you will want to make this trip.

Florida Sea Base
In the summer of 2012 we took 16 Scouts and Scouters to the Florida Sea Base. We took one trek to the Key's Adventure and one trek on the fishing Adventure we will return in 2015

National Scout Jamboree
We have 2 Scouts planning to attend the 2013 National Scout Jamboree at the new Summit high adventure base in Virginia. The National Jamboree is a once in a lifetime event with over 40,000 Scouts attending once every four years.

Boundary Waters Canoe Area
In the summer of 2009 we took 32 Scouts and Scouters to Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA). We will be returning in 2013.  Our outfitter of choice is North Country Canoe Outfitters in Ely, MN.
